Nutella & cinnamon are two of my favourite tastes, so when I saw this recipe that combines the two, I just had to give it a go.
Ingredients
1/3 Cup (5 Tbsp) Unsalted Butter, softened to room temperature
1/2 Cup Sugar
1 Egg
1 tsp Vanilla Extract
1/2 Cup Milk
1 1/2 Cups of Whole Wheat Flour
1 1/2 tsp Baking Powder
1/2 tsp Cinnamon
1/4 tsp Nutmeg
1/2 tsp Salt
8 tsp Nutella
For the Cinnamon Sugar Topping
1/4 Cup Sugar
2 tsp Cinnamon
3 Tbsp Unsalted Butter

Method
Preheat the oven to 218C and put 12 cupcake/muffin cases in a cupcake/muffin tray
Cream together the butter & sugar
Add Egg, Vanilla & 1/2 cup milk -- Mix Together
Add Flour, Cinnamon & Nutmeg and stir until just combined
Spoon 1 heaped tablespoon of mixture into each cupcake/muffin cases, then add a teaspoon of Nutella on top of each one & then add another heaped tablespoon on top of each to cover the Nutella
Pop in oven for 5 minutes then turn down to 200C and bake for another 13-17 Minutes
Take out of the oven and leave to cool for 5 minutes
For Sugar Cinnamon Topping
Melt the butter in the microwave
Mix the sugar and cinnamon together in a bowl
Take a small amount of melted butter and dribble over top of muffin -- enough to cover it. Then take a spoon of the cinnamon sugar and sprinkle over the top

Oh my word these look soo yummy! I love cinnamon and I have a special love for anything with a topping so I am definitely going to try these out! My favourite thing to bake is cupcakes (I posted about red velvet cupcakes this morning) and if I can recommend something it will be cinnabuns and apple pie because that is two of my favourite things to bake AND eat!
